Design Inquiry, Vinalhaven
Collaboration with Nida Abdullah

At a creative residency in the Summer of 2018 in Vinalhaven, Maine, 15 cross-disciplinary makers were asked to participate in the creative misuse of Google Sheets over the course of one week. These works were inspired by Sol Lewitt’s instruction drawings, where makers responded to a set of context-specific prompts to collaboratively create visualizations, exploring alternative approaches both in a physical installation and within the digital platform. We explored the social aspect of making together, and how context informs process.
